1. Program Strength

The Automation major passed the China Engineering Education Accreditation in 2017 and was selected as part of the second batch of national first-class undergraduate major construction sites in 2020. It closely integrates cutting-edge technologies in automation, computer science, artificial intelligence, and electronic information, addressing major national strategic needs in the field of automation. Supported by the first-level discipline of “Control Science and Engineering” and multiple national-level platforms in rail transit control, the program has developed a distinctive automation major with strong characteristics in rail transit. It has cultivated a large number of new-engineering talents equipped with excellent capabilities in informatization, intelligence, and technological advantages for the nation.

The program is committed to building an internationally renowned and domestically first-class major. Circuits, Signals and Systems, Analog and Digital Electronic Technology, Principles of Computers and Interface Technology, Principles of Automatic Control I, Principles of Automatic Control II, Computer Control Systems, Motors and Motion Control, Principles and Applications of Robotics, Fundamentals of Rail Transit Signaling, Sensors and Detection Technology.

4. Further Study and Employment

Graduates of this major can work in high-tech enterprises in fields such as the internet, artificial intelligence, robotics, intelligent manufacturing, and unmanned vehicles, as well as in the rail transit industry, government agencies, and other sectors. They engage in technical research, algorithm design, software and hardware development, R&D, and management roles. Outstanding students are directly recommended for master’s programs without entrance examinations, and students may also apply for graduate programs in automation-related disciplines at top universities nationwide.
