1. Program Strength
This major is supported by the doctoral and master’s degree programs as well as post-doctoral research stations in “Transportation Information Engineering & Control” and “Control Science and Engineering” at Beijing Jiaotong University. It fully leverages the university’s strengths in “Smart Transportation” to provide a solid disciplinary foundation for the Artificial Intelligence program. The program boasts nationally recognized leading talents, distinguished teaching masters, outstanding young scholars, and innovative research teams. It has established multiple national-level and provincial/ministerial-level research and teaching platforms, offering students an excellent learning environment and professional practice opportunities through systematic coursework and hands-on training.
2. Training Objectives and Characteristics
The program aims to cultivate high-caliber talents who master the fundamentals of intelligent science and professional technologies, possessing innovative ability, practical skills, teamwork spirit, and an international perspective. Graduates will be capable of conducting research and development in intelligent systems, applying artificial intelligence technologies, and solving complex engineering problems, while demonstrating strong potential for continuous development and social adaptability.

Include Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning, Knowledge Representation and Reasoning, Intelligent Optimization Methods, Control System Analysis and Design, Autonomous Unmanned Systems, Intelligent Control of High-Speed Railway Train Operation, etc.

This major has not yet produced graduates. Historically, the employment rate of the school/college has consistently ranked among the top in the industry.
